Single Handed Transpac - Rescue At Sea

We now have some details on the DNF for Wenlemir in the Singlehanded Transpac. The US Coast Guard told YachtPals today that Wen Lin of the Swan 47 yacht Wenlemir set off his EPIRB at 7 pm last Thursday evening from about 135 miles off the coast of California.

SoCal Teenage Sailor Arrives in Waikiki

After clearing some choppy water and picking up light winds on his passage between Molokai and Oahu, 16-year-old Southern California sailor Zac Sunderland pulled into the Waikiki dock July 11, where his parents anxiously waited to greet him with a warm embrace.

The Waikiki Yacht Club announced today that Skipper Philippe Kahn, with co-skipper Richard Clarke of Canada, set a new doublehanded record for the 2008 Pacific Cup in 7 days, 15 hours, 17 minutes and 50 seconds.
